Full image caption

Wine glass with round funnel bowl. It has an angular knop drawn down onto its inverted baluster with double row of beads. This wine glass is signed in diamond-scratched engraving on the upper surface of the foot: 'Jacob Sang, Fec: Amsterdam. 1760.' Its bowl is finely engraved with polished details with a mating cock and hen on rococo base with vine to one side and olives to the other. The motto around the rim reads: 'TOUT CE QUI CHATOUILLE ET MOUILLE.': 'ALL THAT TICKLES AND WETS.' This wine glass was probably produced in the Netherlands.
