Traffic warden and donkey.
Photographer Henry Grant started to work for a news agency on Fleet Street in the 1940s and pursued a career as a photojournalist. Grant photographed endlessly, both for the stories he was sent to illustrate and whilst travelling about in between these assignments. He was skilled at spotting and capturing spontaneous moments and just as in this case with a donkey and traffic warden looking at each other, sometimes the subjects were simply situations which captured his imagination or made him laugh.
