Full image caption

Cameo depicting the head and shoulders of a Ptolomeic queen represented as the goddess Isis with a vultured head-dress. This cameo has been attributed to the Alexandrian workshops of the second or first centuries BC, although it might have been made a little later as the "Egyptian style" of carving and design remain popular in the Roman period. Part of the Cheapside Hoard.
