A charity school doll dressed in the outdoor uniform worn by children at the Home for Female Orphans, Lisson Grove in Westminster.
The doll has a bisque head, painted features, fixed blue glass eyes, open mouth showing four teeth and blonde mohair wig. At the back of neck is the maker's mark, mold number and size number 'S & H 4000 P.B. 4/0a'. The body and limbs are jointed. She is dressed in clothes of cotton and wool including blue wool shoulder cape, brown dress, underskirts, brown leather lace up shoes and knitted socks.
