A detailed view of a short, single-edged sword, with a curving profile and serrated back, dated 1634 and marked with the running fox, a symbol occasionally found on work produced by the Hounslow Sword Factory.
The sword has a ribbed wooden grip and a lion-head pommel with a half obliterated design of Neptune being drawn by sea-horses.
