A Pewter sauce boat with a scalloped edge. It is inscribed 'R G Bought on ye Thames at King Stairs 1740'. It was produced to commemorate the Great Frost Fair of 1739 - 1740. There is a touch mark on base X IK, which probably refers to John Kendrick of Cherry Garden Stairs, Rotherhithe.
