A photographic portrait of the Reverend John Galt, a London City Missionary in Bethnal Green, East London, between 1890 and 1907.
Galt was also an amatuer photographer and his work attempts to show that, contrary to popular middle-class belief, the people of the East End were worthy of salvation.
