Protest against ex-Nazi General Speidel's visit to Britain, when he went to the Royal Hospital Chelsea during his stay in Britain to visit military establishments. The British Peace Committee and the Ex-Service Movement for Peace organised a demonstration against a visit by General Speidel, who had been chief of staff to General Rommel of the German army during the Second World War. Speidel visited the Royal Chelsea Hospital, home of the war veteran Chelsea Pensioners, during his stay in Britain. At the time Speidel was commander of Allied Land Forces in Europe under the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (N.A.T.O.).
