Silver medalet with hole drilled for suspension. Obv: ship in sail with 'royal' titles for Prince Charles Edward Stuart, the Young Pretender (1720-1788); Rev: St Michael and the dragon, with motto. Distributed as a touch piece to sufferers of scrofula, or ‘the king's evil’ who supported the Stuart cause.

Charles Edward is styled 'CAR III' for Carolus or Charles III, his putative title had James II retained the throne and the succession continued down his line
