Full image caption

A Drawing Room at St. James's Palace. Four grossly fat Yeomen of the Guard with halberds (and incorrectly drawn uniforms) keep a crowd of onlookers back against the wall of an ante-room. A procession of grotesque dignitaries in court dress forms up to move into an adjoining room. One tall woman is wearing three long white feathers in her hair and might be Lady Jersey except that this drawing room is being held at St James' Palace while the Prince of Wales held court at Carlton House.
