A man's waistcoat, with fronts of pink silk overlaid with white muslin with self woven check. The waistcoat is trimmed with a printed cotton border with scrolling design at the closing edges and to either side of centre front imitating pocket flaps. It is embroidered with silver sequins and with gold thread which is worked in a chain stitch in tassel shapes deliniating the edges of the printed border. It is cut with a straight collar, folding down to each side to form revers. Fastening consists of ten buttons and one non-functioning button hole at neck. The cut is straight across the front, with small vents at each side.
