Great Arthur House, Golden Lane Estate. Golden Lane estate was designed and built by Chamberlin, Powell and Bon over nine years from 1952. The first phase was complete by 1957 and included the landmark Great Arthur House, the tallest residential building in London at the time. The roof was designed with a garden, pool and pergola, and the interiors had sliding partition walls. The landscaping and buildings of the estate became Grade II listed.
