Engraving of the yard and works at Bow Brewery. This brewery was used for the brewing of pale ale which was exported to India. This ale was brewed to a special recipe devised by George Hodgson, who began shipping Hodgson's India Ale in the 1790s. His recipe had a high hop and a high alcohol content which could survive the long journey and extended storage time.
