A woman's bodice made from green silk, lined with linen, and trimmed with silver bobbin lace and silver alloy spangles. It is heavily boned with whale bone. It has a low wide neckline and full short sleeves finished with a cuff. It has tabs at the waist with longer oval shaped tab at the centre front. It fastens with lacing at the back. The silk is Italian, probably from the first quarter of the Seventeenth century.
