This letter was written by the General Manager of the Electrophone company, HSJ Booth, to the Secretary of the Reform Club of Pall Mall, Lieutenant-Colonel Newbigging. The letter is a response to the Secretary's enquiry and explains that the charge for using the Electrophone is 6d for five minutes. The Electrophone allowed people to listen to church services and musical and theatrical performances live from their homes or at social venues.
