Policeman standing guard at the entrance gate to Clements Inn. Dated March 1912 the image refers to the Suffragette window-smashing campaign that targeted public buildings and private property. Throughout March 1912 the police presence in the capital remained high and all buildings at risk from Suffragette window-smashers were guarded.
