Northumberland House & Whitehall from the North Side of Trafalgar Square, by Moonlight. Oil on canvas. Moonlight view of Trafalgar Square from the balustrade on north side and looking south-east down Whitehall; a number of figures can be seen in foreground and two or three cabs in distance on the left and right. Beyond the square it can be seen part of Morley's Hotel, Northumberland House, Whitehall with Big Ben and Victoria Tower in the distance. Le Sueur's equestrian statue of Charles I, offices and shops of Charing Cross and Cockspur Street, top of Duke of York's column, Carlton Hotel Terrace, and the Union Club can also be seen in the distance.
