Portrait of queen Victoria. Oil on canvas. Queen Victoria is shown seated at a three-quarter length, facing the spectator, wearing Coronation robes and the crown of state especially made for her coronation; the Imperial State Crown has been placed on a table on the right, and a view of the Houses of Parliament may be seen through the window behind. This portrait is a copy of the original painting by Franz Xaver Winterhalter (1805–73).
