Trader selling from the back of a van in Cricklewood.
Cricklewood in North London was once an industrial centre with companies such as Smiths crisps, the Pheonix Telephone Company, Bentley and Rolls Royce all having factories here. However in the 1960s industry began to decline and these companies left the area leaving unemployment and homelessness. This trader is selling household goods from his van and customers can be seen gathered around. Interestingly in the background a Tesco store can be seen unusually named a ‘Deco’market.
