Lower jaw of a mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius) from Middle Pleistocene deposits at Uphall Pit, Ilford, dated to Oxygen Isotope Stage 7 (200,000 - 170,000 BC). Probably 'middle aged' at death. Unerrupted teeth in back of jaw.
