Post-medieval silver bodkin. This bodkin's shaft is rectangular in section with two eyelets and three round holes and it is decorated with a line design.
Bodkings are long hairpins usually with an ornamental head. Bodkins were use as hairpins, for punching holes in leather or fabric and for threading ribbon through loops.
