Reproduction of illustration documenting Jack the Ripper murders. This illustration featured on the front cover of 'Illustrated Police News, Law Courts and weekly record', October 6th 1888. The main title reads: 'Two more Witechapel S when will the murderer be captured'. This edition was probably reproduced in 1972 by Peter May and Marshall Cavendish. In this wood engraving Louis Diemschutz discovers the body of Elizabeth Strise in Dutfield Yard, just off Berner Street. He was the steward of the International Working's Men Educational Clib which backed onto the yard. Text reads, 'THE FITH VICTIM OF THE WHITECHAPEL FIEND'.
