Reconstructed female head. This head was cast from the skull of the skeleton found lying inside a lead coffin found at Spitafields. It reconstructs the look of a young woman in her early to mid twenties. Evidence from isotope analyses of her teeth revealed that she originated from the Western Mediterranean and was probably a first generation of immigrants from either Italy, Southern France or Spain. She is therefore portrayed with dark hair and her hair is fashioned in a 4th century style.
