Roman flagon. Large two-handled flagon in Verulamium Region White ware. This vessel has a round globular body and is complete except for some plaster restoration on the neck and rim. There are several holes in the body; one, larger, pierced by a flat blade; the other four are small and round, in an area close enough together on the main body in order to make the flagon into a strainer or pourer. This side shows the surface with no holes. This pot was found at Holborn, London.
