Selection of flint barbed and tanged arrowheads from Holloway Lane. Group of six flint arrowheads found with the remains of a dismembered wild ox or aurochs buried in a deep pit. Scientific analysis of the arrowheads has located microscopic traces of animal fats and of beeswax - the latter perhaps used to help secure the arrowheads to their wooden shafts. Found during archaeological excavations at Holloway Lane, Harmondsworth.
