Ground and polished stone axehead of pyroxene, similar to jadeite. A deep groove runs down one face to within 20 mm of the butt, and on the other face a V-mark is indented above the notch made by the groove. An early axehead possibly re-used as an amulet in the Roman period. Found on the east side of King Street, City of London.
