Incomplete ground flint axehead, found during construction of Kew Bridge in 1902, with silver gilt mount.The mount is inscribed with the following: 'Flint Celt found during the construction of the new bridge over the Thames between Brentford and Kew, 1902.' This axe is part of a set of items with original boxes, presented to Edward VII at opening of Kew Bridge in 20 May 1903.
