Saxon bone comb. This comb is made out of bone plates in which the teeth are cut and held together by two D-section cross-bars of antler and iron rivets. Like most combs from this period, this comb is decorated on the reverse in this case with incised lines along its handle. This bone comb was found at Budge Row, Cheapside, London.
