Roman aryballos or bath-flask of natural blue colour. This is an example of a good quality, very thick glass. It was found with slight weathering, more on the interior than externally. This flask was found complete with rim, neck, the handles and the body which was rebuilt from sherds. Its base is only slightly flattened, perceptibly 'pushed up'. Each lug handle carries a plain polygonal section ring of clenched copper alloy. The rings carry a copper-alloy drop handle, also polygonal in section, with a groove along two of the faces.
