Grey ceramic cooking pot. This cooking pot was found along with other domestic vessels, in a cesspit behind a medieval house on Milk Street which, in 1276, belonged to Bonamicus 'Jew of York'. The pot was made in the south Hertfordshire region and is of a type that was popular in medieval London. It has a slightly sagging base, which may have helped it to sit on a trivet above the fire during cooking.
