Two pattens made of wood and leather. (Top) This leather patten has been carved to support a healed shoe which would rest on a iron stand. It is dated to the early 18th century. (bottom) Wood patten with clenched iron nails holding the iron stand at the back. The patten has a reinforced strap which holds to the carved wedge beneath the ball of the foot. It is dated to the early 13th century.
