One of four Civic Virtues. The front of the medieval Guildhall had a decorated porch designed by John Croxtone, with figures of Christ, Moses and Aaron, and four Virtues set in niches on the façade. The Virtues are Temperance, Fortitude, Justice and Prudence - although there is debate about which figure is which. The porch was demolished in 1788 and this, as well as the other three statues were taken down and eventually sold. They were recovered from a garden in North Wales in 1972.
