Roman Flagon. Produced in the Alice Holt, Hampshire or Farnham, area in Surrey. It was found almost complete during an excavation at Mansell Street, Tower Hamlets in 1987. This single-handled flagon has bands of burnished decoration around the body and is dented on one side. The flagon was found as an accessory vessel to an inhumation burial, which also had silver brooches and an antler comb.
