Narrow-necked jar of buff fabric with hallow base incised semi-circles on shoulder and burnished lines below. Possibly wheel turned. This is a type of pottery that was made in east Sussex. It was found with another jar in Fetter Lane during the Records Office' s renovation works and extension in 1892.
