Restored large collared urn. It is of ochrous brown colour and has a twisted cord decoration round the top of the rim and in horizontal and vertical lines inside and outside the collar. There are four horizontal lines of finger nail impressions round the neck. This vessel was found in Ham Common, London and is part of a group of vessels that have a flat base. It is thought that large flat base pots were used for storage and as containers for cremated human ashes.
