A Cloth seal stamped/cast with the arms of the Company of Royal Adventurers of England to Africa, cherub (head and wings) as crest. The legend: TH(E) COM(PA)NY OF (RO)Y(ALL) A(DV)ENTURER(S). Four holes, spaced out at 90 degree intervals around the circumference from reverse; the Company had a monopoly on the slave trade from West Africa from 1663-1698.
