Doll's House or the Blackett Baby House. This doll's house was named after the family for which it was made. It is a typical example of the quality of 18th century doll's houses, built more as a miniature than as a child plaything. Each room provides a detailed illustration of the organisation and decor of a wealthy household of the time, sometimes giving evidence of the furnishings and domestic equipment known otherwise only from descriptions in the literature of the day.
