This medal was executed by Thomas Rawlins, and was issued upon the King's death, 30 Jan. 1649 to commemorate his fortitude.
On one side of the medal is a Bust of Charles I with long hair, a falling lace collar and richly decorated armour. One the reverse is a hammer striking a diamond upon an anvil.
