A painting of four seamen throwing Jonah overboard, while one remains at the lookout and another at stern-paddle. The
whale occupies the foreground, and part of ship's cargo can be seen adrif in heavy seas. The second vessel can be seen in middle disance . The whole picture is enclosed in painted frame.
The painting was part of a decoration of a house on High Bridge Street, Waltham Abbey. It was discovered 1892 at time of its demolition.
