Two fragments of a plaster of Paris (calcium sulphate) ‘erotic’ relief tile with soot on the reverse. The tile depicts a woman, sitting in a basket suspended by a rope, lowering herself onto a man who is lying on his back underneath. From a fireplace on the upper storey of Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, 145 Fleet Street EC4.
