Gipsy Hill is an area of South London near Upper Norwood, it is considered to be part of Crystal Palace. Gipsy Hill is the name of the main road that runs up and down the north side of the hill and takes its name after a community of Gypsies or an Indian who formerly lived on the hill in Crystal Palace.
