The Brockley Jack Theatre is a pub theatre in Crofton Park, Lewisham.
The Brockley Jack dates from the eighteenth century and was formally known as The Castle; it received its new name in 1863 and was rebuilt in 1869. Being once situated in a rural location, it is said that this used to be a haunt of highwaymen. The Brockley Jack is old English for ‘Obroca’s wood or grove’. Broc is old English for badger.
