'With the Vigilance Comittee in the East End' is a page extracted from the Illustrated London News, published on October the 13th 1888, during Jack the Ripper's reign of terror. The page is illustrated with two black & white images, one is captioned, 'Homeless' and the other, 'A suspicious character'. The 'vigilance committee' was formed to work with the poice in patroling the streets at night.
