The wrecked carriages of the fatal bombing of the Metropolitan Railway at Aldersgate station, on the 28 of April 1897. It was the first anarchist bombing of an underground train and was attributed to Irish nationalists. Sixty people were injured, ten seriously, but the only fatality was Harry Pitts who died from his injuries. This image appears in The Graphic, Volume 55.
