A detailed watercolour of Kew Bridge crossing the river Thames . In the foreground there is a man carrying a large package passing a woman on horseback.
This is the first bridge that was built in 1758-9 by John Barnard with seven timber arches. It was replaced by James's Paine's stone bridge in 1784-9. The present bridge was erected in 1903.
