Wood engraving taken from the Illustrated Police News of 6th October, 1888. Louis Diemschutz is pictured discovering the body of Elizabeth Stride in Dutfield Yard, just off Berner Street. He was the Steward of the International Working Men's Club which backed on to the yard.
