Full image caption
Pea Seller selling peas in a London Square from the back of a horse drawn cart. The sign on the cart reads 'Simon Pod, Battersea'. Two women buy peas from the woman in the cart, these are poured into their outstretched aprons, which serve as a container. Probably a family business, a woman and a male child serve peas from the cart and a man with a large riding whip is crying their wares.
