Exbition vases with gold foil, cased and applied colour. Powell has used these shapes several times from c.1906 - 1914. On the right: Vase in Sea Green glass with gold foil inclusions, streaked blue and opaque white enamel colouring. Gourd shaped, with inverted funnel shaped body drawn into narrow 'minaret' shaped neck and a tulip top. On the left: Vase made in dark blue glass with streaked red colouring and gold foil inclusions, inverted trumpet shape tapering to narrow neck with everted rim.
