New Street, Thomas Hospital, Opened by the Queen last Wednesday. The original hospital was brought by the Charing Cross Railway Company, the hospital moved to its present site, at the foot of Westminster bridge. The New hospital was opened by Queen Victoria in 1871. The hospital is most famous for Florence Nightingale who established the Nightingale Training School of Nursing. This print also includes an architectual plan at the bottom. Engraving.
