Royal Ballet School dancers at White Lodge, Richmond Park. Girls from the Royal Ballet School gather in the dressing rooms at their new studios in White lodge, Richmond Park. The girls, and some boys, boarded at the school, where they were taught subjects such as maths, English and science as well as dancing. Girls in Fourth Form and above wore black tunics; coloured belts and hairbands distinguished their skill levels. The director was Arnold Haskell C.B.E.
